Kevin House
Currently employed as the Director of Jacksonville Parks and Recreation. He has been in this position for over ten (10) years. Additionally he has work with Jacksonville parks since 2009. Kevin has a vast knowledge of the Parks and Rec community and with the contacts is a valuable member of this team.
Kevin coached youth slowpitch and fastpitch team from 1998 through 2014. This was the period that teams were making the switch from slowpitch to fastpitch. Kevin stated as USSSA area director in 2000 utilizing the old ISTS system. He worked with Billy D Austin from 2001-2009 assisting with the different aspects of the fastpitch program up to and including running state tournament for USSSA. Furthermore, he was the United States Fastpitch Association (USFA) State Director for 2009-2015. His knowledge base for this sport is immense. Kevin is also a member of the Arkansas Hall of Fame for is work with the fastpitch program.
He has spent much of his time focused on coaching fastpitch softball with over 18 years of experience. He has been a travel ball coach, a volunteer coach at Jacksonville High School for 8 years. He then transitioned to the Assistant Coach position at Central Baptist College for 3 years. Following this he went on to become the Assistant and then Head Coach at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro for 4 years.
Currently employed with Jacksonville Parks and Recreation as the Athletics Manger. He has been in this position since 2021 and with Jacksonville since 2018. Joe has a vast network of peers and resources that he communicates with concerning sports related issues.
